There comes a point where you realize you can’t keep living on autopilot.

For me, it didn’t happen with a big dramatic moment –
It came quietly.
In the exhaustion.
The pressure of doing everything on my own.
The constant mental load of trying to hold it all together.

Being a single mom, working full-time in a mentally demanding career, managing finances, raising two kids … it’s a lot.
For a long time, I just pushed through it.

But, pushing through isn’t the same as building a life you actually want.

I started Save and Slay Mama because I want more than just getting by …
I want stability.
Freedom.
Peace.

I want to feel confident in my finances …
Be present with my kids.
Be proud of the life I’m creating.

And if I’m honest – this didn’t start recently.

I was raised primarily in a single-parent home with five kids.
My dad was still around and supported; however, from a young age, I learned if I wanted anything beyond the basics, I had to work for it.

I saved my $5 allowance and started working at 12 to buy my own clothes and to get the things I needed or wanted.

That shaped me to be independent, resourceful, and resilient.

It also gave me a deep awareness of how hard life can feel when money is tight … and how important it is to change that.

Now, I’m in a different season.
I’m a mom.
I’m responsible for two little lives who are watching everything I do –
And I’ve made a decision: the cycle stops with me.

Save and Slay Mama is where I document that decision – in real time.

This isn’t a highlight reel –
I’m not an expert.
I’m building, day by day …
learning how to manage money better, invest smarter, create more freedom, and design a life that actually feels good to live.

Some days look strong and put together … other days feel messy and overwhelming – both belong here.

You’ll see:

  • My real budget
  • My financial decisions
  • My wins
  • My mistakes
  • Everything in between.

Because if there’s one thing I know, you don’t have to come from money to build it … and you don’t have to have it all figured out to start.

This space is for growth, honesty, creating something better; not just for me, but for my children, too.

If you’re on a similar path, you’re in the right place.

I want freedom – financially, emotionally, and in the way I live my life –
but, this isn’t just about me.

There’s power in owning your story.
Not to keep you stuck in it …
but, to grow, learn, and maybe even help someone else feel less alone.

If sharing my journey can offer even a small amount of encouragement or clarity …
then it’s worth it.
